WELCOME TO THE COURSE!

One important thing to note before we get started: We need to quickly talk about the Bus/Aux Track prerequisite for your DAW.

Some DAWs like Garageband for example make it hard to create FX only Aux Channels. The Aux Channel is crucial to the flexibility of this course and your vocal mix. IF your DAW for some reason CAN NOT do this, please contact me and we can work through this limitation.

If you are confused about how to do so, heres a QUICK rundown on how to do it in whatever daw you are in:

• In your DAW, create a new AUX track (most likely under FILE or TRACK) and name it "Lead Vox Bus"
• Set the OUTPUT of the Vocal Track (the one with audio on it) to the INPUT of the Lead Vox Bus.

For Logic users, it looks a TAD bit different: When you're setting the output of the Vocal Track (the one with audio on it) you'll have to select a "Bus"

(i.e Bus 2 (Lead Vox Bus)
